Mortimer percussion pistol

This is my new muzzle-loading black powder pistol

It is a modern Pedersoli copy of a P. Mortimer percussion pistol, circa 1800.

The technical specifications are: .36 calibre with a 10 1/16 inch 1:18twist 7-groove barrel.

  1. This is a 'saw-handle' pistol. I use my middle finger on the trigger frame hook to get a more stable grip when shooting.

  3. I thought the "saw grip" on this Mortimer percussion pistol replica was checkered. The photo you have shows that it isn't, while the Pedersoli site shows that it is. Any comment?
